What sets Bose headphones apart from the competition?
- Most of its models compete in the high-end sector and are built for the long term.
- There is a consensus in the sound world about Bose headphones. They are known to be very comfortable and fit perfectly in the ear, both in their over-ear, on-ear and in-ear models.
- Most of their TOP headphones are equipped with active and/or passive noise cancellation, a technology that has been fundamental to the prestige that the Massachusetts brand has achieved in recent years.
- Its hallmarks are: resistant and lightweight materials, great sound quality and designs that aim at elegance and comfort.
In general, one always expects quality products from Bose, as well as prices in line with their brand image. So, if budget is not an obstacle for you, it's hard to go wrong with a Bose headset.
What to look for when buying a pair of Bose headphones
It's common knowledge that Bose headphones are not exactly a bargain. However, anyone who has owned one will tell you that it's well worth the effort. The reason? The quality of their models in terms of sound and other features is hard to beat in many cases. Still, if you want to save a few bucks when buying a Bose headset, we recommend you first think about what you are going to use it for, and not overpay for features you are not going to use.
As to whether a headset or Bose in-ear headphones are a better choice, both have their benefits. Headphones that cover the ears (On-Ear and Over-Ear) usually offer better sound quality and noise cancellation. On the other hand, small earphones (In-Ear) have the advantage that they take up very little space and are more portable. Again, it's important that you are clear about the exact context in which they will be used most frequently.

The Bose 700 is the company's latest noise-canceling headphones and the first model in an innovative new line. They offer the latest in noise cancellation technology and touch controls, and come in an attractive, modern design. The construction materials are not the best on the market, but they feel sturdy.

You can use the Bose 700 headphones for hours without any discomfort. Both the cups and the headband have excellent quality padding.
One of the best features of these Bose headsets are the new touch controls. By simply sliding your finger on the right cup you can change the volume or songs, play or pause. When you press and hold the button it alerts you of the remaining battery time. They also have buttons for Bluetooth connectivity/power and a dedicated one for activating personal assistants.
The most notable feature of the Bose 700 headphones is their ANC technology. They offer the best noise cancellation on the market, comparable only to the Sony WH-1000XM3. You can choose from 11 levels of noise cancellation according to the environment in which you are. They also contain eight microphones (six for ANC and two for voice pickup) of excellent quality.
Level 0 allows you to hear ambient noise, 6 is sufficient for most noisy environments and 10 represents the most intense noise cancellation on the market. On the Bose 700 headphones, you can choose between your three favorite levels thanks to a dedicated button, but you can also change them with the app.
The bose 700 headphones offer superior sound quality to the Bose QC 35 II headphones thanks to their new drivers. The profile is well-balanced and all frequencies are defined and perceived clearly. The bass sounds strong, the mids have a lot of presence and the treble sounds crisp, although a bit jarring on certain songs and at maximum volume.
The Bose 700s use Bluetooth 5.0 technology, and the wireless range works flawlessly up to 10 meters. They do not support the aptx codec but have an auxiliary audio input for the wired connection of devices.

Bose QuietComfort 45
Very good noise cancellation, comfort, long battery life.
Better-sounding competitors in the same price range.
Bose QuietComfort 35 ii Features:
- Type: Over-Ear.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth and wired.
- Battery: 24 hours bluetooth and ANC.
On the outside, the Bose QuietComfort 45 wireless headphones are quite similar to their predecessors, the QC 35 II, and maintain that simplicity and elegance that we love so much. These wireless Bose headphones are available in black and white. The headphones are soft and cushioned and made of premium materials.
Its hallmark is its active noise cancellation, which is considered one of the best on the market. The QC 35 IIs were already excellent in this respect, and the new 45s are even better. They are the latest model in the line and stand out in all departments.
On the subject of controls, they have physical buttons that are easy to operate. With the left cup, you can choose between active noise cancellation mode or ambient mode. With the right, you can manage playback, change songs, and answer calls. With these Bose headphones, you can also access any personal assistant, such as Google, Alexa, or Siri.
The Bose QC 45 wired and wireless headphones deliver impeccably balanced sound. All frequencies are perceived as clear and warm, with great detail. The bass sounds deep and doesn't stand out from the other tonalities, while the mids and highs stand out for their richness.
The Bose QC 45 incorporates several technologies to enhance the listening experience. Active EQ adapts the equalization according to the musical genre to avoid distortion. TriPort physically acts acoustically to deliver the best sound performance and noise avoidance.
As mentioned above, the noise cancellation of the Bose QC 45 is one of the best on the market, rivaled only by the Bose 700. Most noise-canceling headphones struggle with loud noises, but this model completely isolates you from any environment.
One point we like about these Bose headphones is that they can be used both wirelessly and wired, with virtually imperceptible differences in sound quality for most mortals.
They work with Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and have a wireless range exceeding nine meters. The Bose QuietComfort integrates four microphones that work with new filters to reduce ambient noise. The clarity when making calls is remarkable.
The battery is another plus point of these Bose headphones. Fully charging them takes about 2 hours via a USB-C cable connected to the mains. As mentioned above, these Bose headphones can be used wired or wirelessly.
They have a battery life of about 24 hours if used in wireless mode with the ANC, and 20 hours if used for conference calls only. It also has a fast charging mode: with a fifteen-minute charge, you can charge the battery for three hours.
Bose QuietComfort 35 ii verdict:
For us, the Bose QuietComfort 45 is one of the jewels on this list. Practically everything is good in this model, in which its active noise cancellation and battery shine with their own light. And we are not the only ones to say so: the critics have praised them as one of the best circumaural headphones on the market.
It's true that perfection doesn't exist, but we can say that these Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones are pretty close. Interested? Find the best prices on this link.
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II
Comfortable, attractive and secure design, excellent noise cancellation.
- Type: In-Ear.
- Pads: Includes 3 pairs in sizes S / M / L and 3 stabilization bands.
- Battery: 6 hours of autonomy on full charge.
- Weight: 6.2 grams each cup.
The new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II come to compete with the best True Wireless headphones on the market. They feature the best noise cancellation for an In-Ear headset, and excellent build quality.
They have an attractive and modern design that moves away from the previous version. They are smaller and thinner, and feature the brand's logo as embellishment. They feel comfortable during long sessions. They come with three silicone tips and three different-sized clamping bands to fit any user
They have a total of 54 different settings, which is all you need to achieve the best seal and optimize noise cancellation.
The outside of the cups functions as touch controls that allow you to manage playback, answer calls, adjust volume, change songs and access the virtual assistant of your choice.
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II offer excellent sound quality, but the most striking feature is their noise cancellation, the best among True Wireless headphones. It's uncommon for In-Ear headphones, though somewhat expected from Bose. Likewise, the Aware mode works remarkably well.
They feature a technology that optimizes the audio according to the shape of your ears automatically every time you put them on. Likewise, the seal they create in the ear allows you to enjoy audio with deep bass and good detail at all frequencies.
They are not the most faithful headphones, but the sound is pleasant and has a lot of punch. You can access different equalization settings through the application but the truth is that the bass and treble stand out in all modes.
They use the new Bluetooth 5.3 technology that guarantees a strong and seamless connection over a large range of distance from your mobile device. They have touch controls, but to take full advantage of them and access extra functions, you need to download the application.
These Bose headsets work with the personal assistant of your choice and their performance is remarkable when making or receiving calls. This is because each cup contains four microphones for vocals and noise cancellation.
The battery of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II performs approximately seven hours with active noise cancellation at 75dB, more than the company claims. That's a terrific capacity considering all the features they offer.
They also come with a carrying case/charging base that gives you two additional full charges. The case of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds is smaller than that of the previous version. They charge very fast through the USB-C port, but unfortunately do not support wireless charging.
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds verdict:
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are the True Wireless headphones that offer the best noise cancellation on the market. They are robust, comfortable, and attractive, include state-of-the-art features, and offer rich sound at all frequencies.
If you need wireless Bose in-ear headphones for use in any environment, the Bose EarBuds Quietcomfort II are the best choice. Find the best prices at this link.

Bose Sport Earbuds
Excellent value for money, very comfortable, quality sound, fit perfectly.
The models for iOS and Android are sold separately, they do not convince us aesthetically.
- Type: In-Ear.
- Pads: 3 pairs of StayHear tips in sizes S / M / L.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0.
The Bose Sport Earbuds are the sports version of the new Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. They have a completely new design with respect to the SoundSport Free and are designed to provide a perfect fit when performing any type of exercise.
The design of these Bose headphones creates a good seal and doesn't draw attention to itself. In addition, the tips do not cause any discomfort and will not fall out no matter what kind of exercise you do.
They come with three StayHear tips of different sizes for the convenience of any user. The entire surface of the cup that comes into contact with the ear is made of soft silicone and applies pressure around the entire ear to prevent discomfort in the ear canal. They also have a kind of flexible hook that keeps them in place.
The Bose Sport Earbuds integrate proprietary Bose technologies that ensure powerful, clear, and balanced sound, no matter what volume level you want to use. Any genre of music feels like the musicians are right next to you and keep you motivated to keep training.
The combination of high-efficiency transducers and unique design delivers a surprisingly rich sound. These Bose headphones feature Volume Optimizer Active EQ technology that automatically adjusts treble and bass so that the sound always sounds balanced at any volume level.
The new StayHear tips that come with these Bose headphones create a great seal that lets you enjoy deep bass and the full musical impact of your favorite songs. These new Bose headphones also passively cancel external noise very decently.
These Bose In-ear headphones work with Bluetooth 5.0 technology and have a wireless connectivity range of up to nine meters without problems. When you receive a call, you only need to double-tap the right cup to answer the call or press and hold the touchpad to reject the call. If you answer, you will hear the call clearly in both ears. Its microphones remarkably separate the voice from ambient noise.
The Bose Sport Earbuds work with the Bose Music app that allows you to name the Bose headset, adjust controls to your personal taste, check battery status, and manage Bluetooth connections and additional modes. It's also the means to perform software updates that will come with new features.
They integrate a battery that lasts up to 5 hours at normal volume levels. In addition, they come with a charging case/base that gives you two additional full charges, giving you about 15 hours of use. Another positive point is that only 15 minutes is enough to use the Bose headphones for two hours.
The Sport Earbuds are quality wireless Bose headphones. One of the best you can get in the sports headphone market and at this price. They are worth it as they will allow you to experience the highest Bose standards at a fair price, and have a perfect design for working out.
They don't have the active noise cancellation of the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, but they're perfect for working out. Find the best prices on Amazon.
Bose SoundSport Wireless
Comfort and good sound quality in Bluetooth mode.
- Type: In-Ear.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth.
- Battery: 6 hours of autonomy with full charge.
- Weight: 23 grams.
The Bose SoundSport Wireless are designed for sports. They are very light (23 grams) and have a traditional In-ear design, without a neckband. These earphones are IPX4 certified, so they are resistant to sweat, splashes and moisture in general.
StayHear+ technology ensures maximum hold on the pinna when playing sports, and the soft silicone rubber makes them easy to wear, so they won't bother you at all. The remote control is located on the cable. They weigh almost nothing, so they do not generate any uncomfortable strain when worn. However, they come with a clip to attach to your T-shirt if you find it more comfortable.
The sound is the most positive point of these Bose sports headphones. It has one of the best audios among music headsets of this type. It emits a powerful bass, which will give you that extra boost of motivation when doing sports.
The sound they emit is generally quite dynamic, so the music will sound vivid as if you were at a live performance. It's hard to find something that sounds better and with as much power in the sports headphone segment.
Pairing it with your smartphone is quite easy thanks to its Bluetooth and NFC connectivity. You can also enjoy the integrated Bose app where you have additional controls to equalize and enhance the sound experience, as well as easily manage all your Bluetooth connections.
You can use voice commands to change songs and turn the volume up or down, answer a call on your smartphone, listen to music on your tablet or watch a movie on your laptop. One negative point is that they do not have a pulse controller, unlike several competing models.
The fully charged battery of these Bose bluetooth headphones lasts only six hours. Not much, but it was to be expected considering that they are In-Ear headphones, therefore not designed with a headband where a more powerful battery can be housed. However, they have a fast charging mode: with only 15 minutes of charging, they will give you one hour of playback.
The SoundSport Wireless are bluetooth headphones with no wired option, so there is no plan B of pulling a cable when the battery runs out. For this reason, we do not recommend them for long trips or journeys.
The Bose SoundSport wireless headphones could be defined as the conventional version of the SoundSport Pulse. Although they do not measure heart rate, they retain all their other features with more or less accuracy. They are comfortable, sound great, are easy to use, and are designed for sports activities.
In addition, their good sound and attractive design mean that you can use them in other contexts of your life other than sports. The price of these Bose in-ear headphones is somewhat high compared to the competition, but that has not prevented them from becoming one of the favorites in their range by users. Bose QuietComfort 25
Great sound and noise cancellation.
The appearance is a bit old-fashioned.
- Type: Over-Ear.
- Battery: AAA for active noise cancellation.
- Connectivity: Wired.
- Weight: 196 grams.
The QuietComfort 25 is a Bose noise-canceling headset with soft, lightweight, padded earcups and a flexible headband. They fit very snugly on the head, providing good passive sound isolation.
On the outside, we see too many plastic parts, especially compared to its competition. Nevertheless, they serve their purpose perfectly and are of high quality. These wired Bose headphones are attractive and comfortable.
The Bose QC25 wired headphones offer subtle improvements in finish and design over their predecessor, the Bose QC15, with a sporty rather than formal look. The headband is made of cotton and felt, less prone to moisture than other materials with continued use.
These Bose headphones have been praised for having the ability to isolate you even from the sound of an airplane engine, so you can sleep with them on, or enjoy the latest movie on a flight without any distractions.
The Bose QuietComfort 25 were launched in 2014, but they are still among the best if we compare them to the vast majority that was launched on the market this year. They have a balanced and deep bass, which delivers drums and beats with enough presence that they do not overpower the vocals or other instruments.
They sound excellent in the midrange, albeit with a little extra emphasis on vocals and lead instruments. In addition, they have a neutral treble for pinpointing small sonic details and instruments.
They are quite consistent, also when differentiating bass and treble of different origins. However, the level of harmonic distortion is quite high, and because of the noise isolation design, it seems that these sounds are coming from the center and not from the front drivers, as they should be.
Among their disadvantages, they are not available with wireless connectivity. On the flip side, they include features such as a microphone and remote control that will allow you to change music or take calls on both iOS and Android smartphones.
The control of these wired bose headphones works quite well with mobile devices, facilitating basic possibilities such as track switching, call/music, and volume, although perhaps the buttons could be a bit more sensitive to touch.
These wired, noise-canceling Bose headphones can operate without a battery, connected by cable. To get the most out of them in terms of sound performance and functions such as auto timer activated, they use two AAA batteries that provide 32.8 hours of continuous use. Therefore, they are fine for travel, as you can take them with you for transatlantic flights with more than enough cargo.
Although a few years have passed since their launch, the Bose QuietComfort 25 wired headphones are still one of the best on the market. We could say that they represent the best of their generation since their great sound quality never ceases to amaze, and the fact that they work only by cable is a feature that is sometimes missed in newer models.
On the other hand, if what you are looking for is sound quality, these headphones are still at the TOP for listening to music. Interested? Find the best prices on Amazon at this link.
Bose QuietControl 30
First class noise cancellation in In-ear.
Doesn't reach the Over-ear noise cancellation level.
- Type: In-Ear.
- Battery: 10 hours with full charge.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth.
- Weight: 64 grams.
Their neckband design may not be among the most popular, but you'll hardly notice you're wearing them (unless you're wearing many layers of clothing and they get tangled). StayHear+ ear tips are designed to fit gently in the ear cavity and also create a seal in the ear for added passive noise reduction.
When running with these headphones, their response is quite good, staying in place without generating discomfort. They have a control system that serves to manage the active noise cancellation with two buttons on the side of the remote.
The Bluetooth connect button is a bit stiff, limiting usability a bit. Still, we can summarize that these Bose Bluetooth headphones are among the best wireless In-ear headphones as far as design is concerned: portable enough and with a thick protective case included.
When we imagine noise-canceling Bose headphones, their over-ear models come to mind. However, the wireless QuietControl 30 represents an unrivaled choice on the market for in-ear headphones, thanks to a technology that allows you to adjust noise reduction levels.
In addition, they include a noise-repelling dual microphone system. They feature deep, consistent, well-balanced, and aggressive bass. The midrange frequencies are almost perfect and the treble is more than acceptable.
All this makes them quite versatile and ideal for playing different genres of music, from EDM to Hip-Hop to movie soundtracks and even podcasts. However, the mids are a bit low as far as vocals and lead instruments are concerned, while in treble, they lose solidity in sounds such as “s” and “t”.
Their advanced Bose active noise reduction technology measures and compares the volume of outside noise and then reacts by producing an opposing signal to counteract it.
The Bose QC30 has a Bluetooth range of 10 meters, which allows for a lot of freedom of movement. We found them to have a bit of lag after extensive testing while watching movies, but with more than enough range to perform well in almost all uses.
These Bose bluetooth headphones support NFC and simultaneous pairing of multiple devices. However, there is no connectivity option other than Bluetooth, which may be a limitation depending on the user's tastes. For example, you will find it impossible to connect via cable to in-flight entertainment services on commercial aircraft.
These headphones have a battery life of 11.4 hours of continuous audio playback at medium volume. They also have an auto-off timer accessible through the Bose Connect app. The full charge time is approximately 2.5 hours, which is more or less standard, although it cannot be used while connected to the charger. Not a dazzling capacity but enough to give you an acceptable wireless headphone experience.
We liked the QuietControl 30, particularly for their combination of good sound and noise cancellation, with a design especially meant for various sports activities. It's an improved version of the SoundSport Wireless in terms of noise reduction and battery life. They are undoubtedly the best you can buy in this style, despite their high price. Bose SoundLink II
Very comfortable and great sound for Bluetooth.
Price is a little high.
- Type: On-Ear.
- Battery: 15 hours with full charge.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth.
- Weight: 198.5 g.
As you've come to expect from Bose headphones, the SoundLink IIs fit very smoothly on the head. The design is quite modern and very successful, especially in its “skin tone” model, although there are several color combinations to choose from.
It features foam pads, padded nylon, and corrosion-resistant stainless steel, although the larger pieces are of more traditional plastic. They are not exactly designed to be used in a gym, but they are stable enough to guarantee comfort in most setups.
The Bose SoundLink IIs deliver excellent bass: deep and punchy. It also achieves great clarity in the midrange and very good treble balance. This makes them perfect for a wide range of musical genres from rap to rock and pop.
However, they show some inconsistency when many simultaneous bass signals are exposed, showing somewhat high distortion levels.
The combination of TriPort technology and the active EQ achieves a clear and powerful sound that doesn't break down at any volume level. The built-in two-way microphone automatically adjusts its volume, depending on the intensity of your voice and ambient noise, which generates a noticeable improvement in the use of these Bose Bluetooth headphones for phone calls or video games.
The Bose SoundLink 2 is a bluetooth headset that can be paired simultaneously with multiple devices. They also support NFC pairing. They come with a simple audio cable and have no remote control, so you can use them with your console controllers, for example.
The wireless range is above average, with a stable connection of up to 12 meters down range, depending on whether or not the Bluetooth source is in another room. They also include a switch that allows you to quickly switch between simultaneous connections to two devices, so you can watch a video on your laptop and stay connected to your smartphone.
Built-in controls allow you to switch between calls and music, as well as change tracks. It works for IOS and Android.
They have a more than acceptable battery life of 20 hours, enough to keep you connected on a long flight or a good road trip. They also feature an adjustable timer that helps extend battery life. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use them while they are connected to the charger.
If you stay in non-battery mode, you will have to wait a total of 2.6 hours to return to a full charge. The positive point is that it's possible to use them via cable connection.
While the perfect wireless headset that sounds as good in Bluetooth mode as it does wired has yet to be invented, Bose has done a good job with these headphones by mixing a sleek, comfortable design with great performance.
The SoundLink II may not have the award-winning active noise cancellation that has made Bose so famous, however, its passive isolation is more than acceptable and functional, to give you an excellent user experience. Find the best prices on Amazon.
Bose Frames Tempo
Attractive, good sound and decent battery, comfortable.
- Type: Glasses/headphones .
- Battery: 8 hours with full charge.
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.1.
- Weight: 48 grams.
The Bose Frames Tempo are a pair of dark glasses and sports Bluetooth headphones. They do not offer a very powerful sound as they look like small speakers that emit audio close to your ear and let the audio leak out. That said, they are perfect for working out. They are IPX4 certified, which means they can withstand rain and sweat without problems.
They come with three different sized nose pads to ensure a good fit. They are comfortable, attractive and stable. You can also replace the polarized lenses that block UVA/B rays to the maximum with blue or orange ones.
The Bose Frames Tempo delivers a solid, clear, and crisp sound. Due to their design, they leak audio, and bass response is not noticeable. In addition, they can distort at maximum volume. However, the sound is very decent at medium volumes.
Bass sounds deep at low volumes. Likewise, the mids and highs stand out for their clarity. The sound profile is well-balanced, although the midrange/treble stands out.
We tested them playing different genres and were delighted with the clarity of all instruments and voices. On the other hand, the audio is well perceived alongside external ambient noise. They are perfect for outdoors as you stay alert to hazards when exercising.
These Bose headphones for athletes integrate Bluetooth 5.1 technology and the wireless range is wide, although you don't need it. They are very easy to synchronize with any device and have integrated microphones for making calls.
On the right side, there is a multifunction button that allows you to control playback, power, and change songs. They also have a touch control on the surface to control the volume or activate the personal assistant.
They work with the Bose Music application. To use it you need to open an account and synchronize your Bose headphones to enjoy its functions, although unfortunately, it doesn't offer equalization.
These Bose headphones/sunglasses for athletes have an autonomy that reaches eight hours at medium volume levels. Results vary according to the volume you use, but the capacity is decent. They also charge very fast thanks to the USB-C port. The total process takes only one hour.
The Bose Frames Tempo headphones are attractive and comfortable. This is the best model of the line for its sound. In their category, they stand out as the best glasses on the market. Find the best price on this link.
