The Logitech G Pro X is one of the most popular gaming headsets on the market. They offer great 7.1-channel surround sound and good equalization options through the Logitech G Hub software. The new G Pro X Wireless reviewed here are completely wireless, and maintain all the positive points of the previous G Pro.

They work with a USB wireless transmitter, and offer the same sound performance. We regret that they do not have a 3.5mm auxiliary connection, but they sound very good for their price range. In this article, we tell you everything you need to know about the excellent new Logitech GPro.

Logitech G Pro X Wireless Design

The G Pro X Wireless is a wireless version of the Logitech G PRO X headset. They have a very good build quality, and maintain the same design as the wired model. The black cups have an oval shape, and feature the G logo inside an elegant metallic circle. Both the cups and the band feature soft memory foam padding with faux leather finishes.

They are very comfortable headphones, and you can wear them for hours without any problems. They are not as light as the wired G Pro, as they integrate a battery, but they do not weigh much. They fit securely on the head, and do not cause uncomfortable pressure. They come with additional pads that insulate less from outside noise but do not overheat as much. In addition, they come with a charging cable and a carrying case.

A removable microphone with a flexible boom and capsule protector is integrated in the left cup. Also on the left cup, we find the controls and connections: a power switch, mic mute button, volume potentiometer and the USB-C charging port.

The Logitech G Pro Wireless are just as good as the previous model. The only notable difference is that they abandon the 3.5mm cable for a 2.4 GHz wireless connection via a USB transmitter. They offer wireless audio without any lag, and are very easy to use. You just need to connect the transmitter to your PC, PlayStation or Nintendo, and turn on the headset.
The wireless USB transmitter is a small plastic rectangle that looks like a USB flash drive. It features the Logitech logo, and integrates an LED indicator that lights up when you connect it to your console or computer.

Logitech G hub

The Logitech G Pro X Wireless gaming headset is designed to be used primarily with computers, and is compatible with Windows 7 and higher operating systems. It offers extra features through the Logitech G Hub software, including 7.1-channel DTS Headphone: X virtual surround sound.

This software also offers you a 10-band equalizer and many settings to customize the sound to your personal taste. The Logitech G Pro is very easy to use, and the controls on the left cup allow you to operate all the main functions.

Autonomy of the Logitech G Pro X Wireless

According to Logitech, the GPro X Wireless battery lasts more than 20 hours on a single charge. Certainly, after testing them, we know they are telling the truth. We use them with an output of about 75dB for about 22 hours. The Logitech G pro Wireless are charged using a USB-C cable, and the total process takes approximately two hours.

Microphone

Similarly to the wired Logitech G Pro X, the wireless version allows you to make multiple adjustments to the microphone thanks to Blue Voice technology. In the G Hub, you will find a three-band equalizer for the microphone, as well as several extra functions such as a high-pass filter, noise reduction and a compressor. Therefore, you can adjust all these functions to obtain an ideal sound. It also allows you to use different Blue presets and eSports players.

The microphone settings are very varied, and you can get great quality sound, although it doesn't sound as clear with the factory settings as some more expensive Razer models. If you want to make professional recordings, we recommend an individual USB microphone. However, the performance is perfect if you have no such obligations.

Sound quality

The virtual surround sound that you can activate with the G Hub software is ideal for gaming and watching movies. It adds a separate bass channel that significantly improves bass response compared to stereo mode. The Logitech G Pro is an excellent headset for listening to music. They distort a little at very high volumes, but it's not noticeable if you turn the volume down a little.

They integrate Pro G 50mm transducers that deliver faithful sound, with clear and precise spatiality. They are wireless, but sound just as good as the wired G Pro. Performance is good when playing any genre of music. The bass sounds deep and the treble is smooth. Likewise, the presence of mid-tones stands out in the mix. The vowels sound very clear.

The tonal balance is well achieved. The Logitech G Pro X Wireless delivers deep bass that doesn't overshadow other frequencies. You can enjoy all the effects without losing clarity in the vocals. Their design provides decent insulation from outside noise, and you can use them in an office with peace of mind. However, they do not have active noise cancellation technology to isolate you in noisier environments.

Excellent gaming performance

Like the wired Logitech G Pro X, the wireless version is designed for use while gaming. They are very comfortable, and you can wear them for hours without any discomfort. We tested the DTS surround sound playing Doom and got a very good performance. Panning and blending are very faithful and make it easy to identify the sources of explosions and effects. Likewise, gunshots feel solid, while the soundtrack sounds clear and bright behind all the violence.

In games like Fortnite, they work flawlessly. With the Logitech G Pro you can quickly pick up where the shots are coming from, for running or aiming. The different weapons and effects are clearly distinguishable, and the sound is always balanced. The only negative is that you can't enjoy surround sound on consoles. That said, you can use the Logitech G Pro's with a PlayStation or Nintendo, and the performance is quite good in games that don't use surround sound.

Logitech claims that the G Pro has a wireless range of 15 meters, and they are telling the truth. You will not have any problems with connectivity as long as you stay within this wide range.

Logitech G Pro X Wireless Conclusion

If you're interested in a wireless gaming headset with a good microphone, the Logitech G Pro X is a great choice. They are very comfortable headphones, offer high quality sound and provide you with many equalization options through the G Hub software.

We regret that they don't have an auxiliary audio input, but that's what the wired Logitech G Pro Xs are for. The Wireless offer flawless connectivity within a range of 15 meters, and integrate a high-performance battery. In this price range, there is no other model with so many equalization options for the headphones and microphone. Interested? Find the best price on this link.
