The new Momentum True Wireless 2 feature significant improvements in all departments. They integrate robust active noise cancellation, a high-performance battery and improved sound quality.

Design
The new Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 are somewhat expensive, but after feeling them for a second you will realize that they are a product of the highest quality. In terms of design, they look very similar to the previous version. The cups have a rounded shape and integrated touch controls on the outside.
They have a black and silver finish that looks sleek and modern. Plus, like all the best True Wireless headphones, they come with an equally stylish case that doubles as a charging port. The case features a USB-C port and a small button that you can press to find out how much charge you have left. An LED light illuminates red, orange or green according to the status.
The new True Wireless 2 are 2 mm smaller than the previous model. They look more discreet than the Sony WF-1000XM3, and feel very comfortable. They come with four pairs of silicone pads of different sizes. The pads are easy to change and feel great to the touch. They fit most users perfectly, although people with very small ears may find them somewhat uncomfortable for long sessions.
They are IPX4 certified, which means they can withstand raindrops and sweat. They are perfect for use at the gym or on the street.
Sound quality
Like its predecessors, the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 feature 7mm dynamic drivers that produce great sound for their size. The stereo imaging is remarkable, with deep bass, natural mids and very detailed highs. We tested them playing different genres of music, and found rich audio with excellent textures at all frequencies.
Percussions are perceived as strong and controlled. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 offers great precision in the rhythms. The spatiality also allows you to enjoy all the instruments in their own space. The sound profile is refined and mature. No element sounds overdone or muffled. Low, medium and high have the same strength.
The lower tones sound surprisingly loud for a True Wireless headset. That said, the mid and high tones maintain an excellent presence. The vocals stand out for their detail, and the treble is very crisp. The sound profile is very well achieved. The spatiality is ample and the details stand out. The only competition in the True Wireless market is the Sony WF-1000XM3.
At high frequencies, the Momentum True Wireless 2 sound more controlled than the Sony and AirPods Pro, although the noise cancellation of the WF-1000XM3 is a bit better. That said, the details are amazing when playing any genre of music. They also work great for watching videos on the Internet or movies on Netflix.
Active noise cancellation
The biggest new feature of the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 is the addition of active noise cancellation technology. It works very well, and the benefits are remarkable. When activated, it eliminates ambient noise almost completely. The Sony has the advantage in this aspect, but the difference is not very significant. To turn active noise cancellation on or off, you can use the touch controls on the earbuds or the application.
These Sennheiser wireless headphones also offer a number of useful functions. Playback pauses automatically as soon as you remove one of the earbuds. Transparent Hearing mode allows you to hear some ambient sound, which is necessary at airports or train stations, for example.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless: Connectivity
Touch controls allow you to control playback and perform multiple functions. In addition, you can assign different functions to the controls via the Sennheiser Smart Control app, available for IOS and Android devices. On the left cup, you can manage playback and change songs. With the right cup, you can activate the personal assistant, answer calls, turn on Transparent Hearing mode and turn ANC on or off.
Connectivity with a smartphone works flawlessly thanks to the new Bluetooth 5.1 technology. In addition, they support Qualcomm's aptX codec that allows you to stream high-resolution audio wirelessly.
Battery life
The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 features a longer battery life than its predecessors. The earbuds give you seven hours, and the case an additional 21 hours. The brand has increased the performance of the headphones by four hours, and the charger by eight hours, unrivaled capacity on the True Wireless market.
